Happy Poem in Your Pocket Day!!

April 26, 2012

What’s in YOUR pocket? Gum? Lipgloss? Wallet? Phone?….Poetry?

Today is “Poem in your Pocket” Day and I don’t want ANYONE to miss out. So here are a few links where you can download, print, save, bookmark some pocket size poetry.

There’s no excuse. Life is poetry in motion so while you’re on the go, read something that’s short and a lot of fun!

Final Curve by Langston Hughes

When you turn the corner
And you run into yourself
Then you know that you have turned
All the corners that are left.

I love this poet dreamer taking grad school by its head and shooting for the moon. Love that Hughes poem.
