For the Oprah lovers and book lovers alike, we come together in the perfect union. Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 is something we both (all) can enjoy!! I love Oprah. I love her instinct for finding good stories whether they’re told on her couch or on pages bound as a book. It’s undeniable that Oprah has the gift of making people see the greatness in these stories as well.
That’s why I thought it was so amazing that Ayana Mathis’ “The Twelve Tribes of Hattie” was selected as a first time published book author for Oprah’s lastest book club selection. That’s a tremendous honor; one that most writers would give a lot to have. Which is why it was easy for me to decide to buy the book and join Oprah’s book club. I wanted to see how amazing this book was/is because I would LOVE to have my book in Oprah’s book club one day.
You can join Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 by purchasing the book, tweeting #Oprahsbookclub, and joining the discussion boards on goodreads.com.
February 3,2013 is the end of the reading session so start now!! The book is amazing so far. I’m in chapter three and Im floored. I mean FLOORED. A good book wrecks you because bringing you back together again and let me tell you this book is wrecking me page by page. The pain, the regret, the exposing of human flaws is already making this book difficult to put down. If you’re reading a lot along, let me know what you think of the book!
